Deborah Mohammed-Spigner, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO
Dr. Mohammed-Spigner is an experienced researcher and strategic planning consultant with over 25 years of experience across academia, the public, and nonprofit sectors. She served the state of New Jersey as a research scientist for over six years and, most recently, successfully executed program management and research services for a recognized management consulting firm for over three years. Her extensive background is evidenced by numerous publications, grants, mentorships, and leadership roles, all reflecting her unwavering commitment to social impact, growth, and excellence. Holding a Doctorate in Public Administration from Rutgers University, she is driven by a passion for creating impactful change. Dr. Mohammed-Spigner has contributed significantly to various organizations, serving on numerous nonprofit boards and spearheading innovative research and planning initiatives. Her dedication extends to her continued leadership in her community. She has been elected twice to her local Board of Education. Her contributions have been recognized with awards such as the YMCA’s Minority Achievers Award.
Brian E. Porter, MBA, Co-Founder and President
Mr. Porter is a seasoned management consultant with over 35 years of experience across various business sectors. He has a proven track record of success in finance, project management, and business strategy. Brian has extensive experience in financial operations, including shaping the financial landscape of companies, leading acquisitions, and streamlining operations. He is proficient in using advanced financial tools for projections, modeling, and data analysis. Brian has a deep understanding of business strategy and its alignment with core competencies. He has experience teaching capstone business strategy courses and guiding students through the process of designing, implementing, and monitoring strategies. Brian is committed to social responsibility and serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the MEWSA YMCA where he serves as a member of the Finance Committee. Brian is a highly qualified management consultant with a diverse background and a proven track record of success. He is a strategic thinker with a strong financial acumen and a commitment to giving back to the community.
Javed Sajad, AI Governance Expert
Javed is a legal consultant from Trinidad and Tobago working across the Caribbean, USA, United Kingdom, and Europe in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Regulation, technology law, and policy. He is certified in AI Policy and Cyber Security Incident Reporting. He has been recognized as a leader for AI Regulatory Sandboxes by the LACNIC Internet registry for the Latin American and Caribbean regions and has published with the United Nations on his expertise on AI Governance. As an attorney at law, he developed data protection regulations and policies for the public and private sectors.

Michelle A. Nelson, M.A., Change Management Expert
Michelle is the CEO & Principal Strategist of Ascend Strategic Communications, is an accomplished strategic communications consultant with over 25 years of experience in corporate and consulting roles, with expertise in leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement communications, for which she’s been recognized across industries, including civic, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and the federal government. As a communications strategist and skilled practitioner, she has partnered with organizations to transform and thrive beyond public health crises (e.g. COVID-19), mergers, acquisitions, new technology implementation, and relocation. She has earned the distinction of three federal awards, and certificates in DEI from the University of South Florida, Quality Service from the Disney Institute, and Entrepreneurship from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. She has also been trained in structural racism analysis, which enables her to develop effective DEI & AI bias mitigation. Michelle earned her bachelor’s in journalism from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her master’s in strategic communication and leadership from Seton Hall University.
